  • It is a Misconception that you need to be a Great writer to be a Successful blogger. Most bloggers write in a very informal and conversational style. Ahem! take me.
  • That’s the reason many successful bloggers can write about a variety of sub-topics on the same blog topic.
  • You don’t need to be an Expert on your chosen topic you write but a little bit of Love towards it will do, my friend.

and influence them to accept their services or creations. Blogging is the best way to accomplish that goal.

Show your expertise and build followers.

Expertise is something that comes with time. But people not knowing about your expertise of your craft can be disheartening.

Write to promote your or others Business.

It is a well-known fact that Marketeers and business owners use their Blogging platform to reach to more consumers to either Sell their products or create funnels for their business.

Blogging can be highly rewarding in that sense, when you can blog for your Products or services or simply promote someone else’s.

Write for self-employment and make money online.

Blogging can be highly rewarding when you see it as a Side gig or even a fulltime job.

Fulltime bloggers are earning hundreds of thousands of dollars every month just by blogging.

And I am not joking, you can earn that kind of sum too, if you follow this guide.

So what are you waiting for? lets jump in and get Started..

STEP 1: Choose a Blog topic or Niche

This is the most important thing to decide and this will decide your upcoming success in this journey.

Simply put, a Blog Niche is a specific topic area around which you will be writing often and which also needs to be easily manageable from your end.

If you are not sure what to Blog about, there are few questions that you can answer yourself to find that out.

  • What are your Hobbies and Passions?
  • What are your Skills?
  • What are your experiences in Life?

The Intersection of these three answers can be a probable Blog topic of yours.

But sometimes this strategy can be counter intuitive, as the Niche that you have decided may not that Profitable after all.

You need to be Intelligent, and Choose a Niche which other people are searching for in the Internet and willing to pay for the Value that they get from your Blog.

In that case your Blog needs to be a Problem solver for your readers and Add value to their lives.

You can find Answers to the questions below, to drill down towards your Niche.

  • What is your reader’s biggest struggle?
  • What Motivates or Inspires them?
  • How your Blog can Help them?

To make your Life easier I list down few of the Blogging Niches that you may try.

Finance, Lifestyle, Fashion, Animals, Education, DIY, Fitness & Health, Travel, Food and more..

STEP 2: Book a Domain Name

Somebody said what’s in a Name? This may or may not be true while deciding a Blog’s Name.

You need to think you are going to build a Brand with your Blog.

So typically you have Two options

  1. Invent a Name that resonates with your Topic of your Blog or
  2. Simply this is Your Blog! so what can be more fascinating than Choosing your Name as your Blog’s Domain Name.

Never hesitate to choose your name as Your Blog’s name as there thousands of Bloggers who have found success just by going with their Own name as Blog’s domain name.

Also there are thousand other Bloggers who have fancy names for their Blog’s and earn millions from their blog.

Take my Blog, Himadrisen.com. So this literally translates to ‘Myname’ dot com. Nothing fancy.

Regarding the Domain extension, a .COM domain is always preferred. But when you search, you may realize that your blogname.com is already taken and not available.

In that case .NET or .ORG also goes well. If you are looking for a regional based domain name such as .US, .CO.UK, .COM.AU, .NZ will also hold Good.

STEP 3: Get a Web hosting provider

Now that your blog domain name is decided, let’s move on to selecting the Web hosting Provider. This is also one of the Important aspects of your Blogging journey.

To make your Blog online you need a Hosting Space which is provided by the Web Hosting provider.

The web hosting provider stores all the files for your blog and delivers them to the user when they type in your blog name in the Browser. You must have a blog hosting provider in order to have a blog running.

I personally recommend BlueHost hosting services for all new bloggers because:

  • You can register your custom domain name for free.
  • They have a 30 day money back guarantee if you are unsatisfied for any reason.
  • They offer a free, automatic installation of the WordPress blogging software.
  • They offer reliable web hosting that has been recommended by WordPress.
  • They currently host over 2 million blogs and websites.
  • Bluehost has a helpful 24/7 customer service via phone or web chat.

STEP 4: Install WordPress

This is most easiest step given if you are using one of my recommended web hosting Providers. Most web hosting providers gives you a One-Click wordpress installation

There you will be provided with screens to enter your Blog Name, description and set your Admin Email , username and Password.

Once setup you will be able to access your Bare-bone wordpress blog from your Home URL that is your have booked domain name.

Also you can access your wordpress admin panel from blogname.com/wp-admin.

STEP 5: Choose a Theme and Customize

A theme provides Lots of options for a Blogger to makes your blog beautiful and presentable.

You need to login to Admin panel and from Left hand Side menu, Appearance Link you will find Themes.

Under Themes you will see some default Theme is already installed. This may not ne as Beautiful as you wished.

To add a new Theme Click on Add New button on top and you will be presented lots of Free Themes to choose from.

You can choose any Free theme you like. I recommend going with a Premium Theme from ‘Themeisle’ or ‘Astrathemes’ as They provide better support which can help you in Long run.

STEP 6: Install necessary Plugins

Plugins are set of codes which gets easily installed to your Blog and extend the blog Features and functionality.

There are many of them that are useful and have different functionalities all together.

But for the sake of this tutorial, I will cover 4 of the must haves. These Plugins are useful for your SEO and blog’s page loading speed and looks.

1. Elementor Pro:

This is a Drag and drop landing page builder. With this you can build beautiful looking pages on your Blog. They have a Free version but the Pro version has More features that’s makes life much easier.

2. Short Pixel Image Optimizer

This compresses your Images and Screenshots to smaller file size, this in turn helps to load your Page faster.

3. WP Rocket:

This is a Cache Plugin but does more than compressing your CSS and javascripts file size. This also increases the site speed of your Blog.

4. Yoast SEO:

You can use Yoast SEO to manage your sitemap, robots.txt, and metadata descriptions. Very Useful Plugin to Handle your Basic SEO needs.

STEP 7: Connect Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a Must have for your Blog, as this usually tracks your Visitors to your site.

For most affiliate marketing program registrations, they generally ask for your Blog’s, visitor Traffic volume before they can approve your request to join their Program.

Google Analytics gives you answers to the following questions.

-Who is visiting your blog?

-What visitors do when they are on your blog?

-When do people visit your blog?

-How do people find your blog?

-How do people interact with your blog content?

This is a wealth of information necessary for your Blog to become successful.

STEP 8: Write your First Blog and Publish

I hope at this point your blog is up and running and its time to put some content to it, in form of your First Blog Post.

Creating a Blog post and Publishing is relatively easy.

You can head to your WordPress admin, and Look for ‘Posts’ menu on the left hand side.

There is already a ‘Hello World’ post, you can either start Editing it to create your First Blog or you can start afresh by clicking Add New.

An ideal Blog generally contains Min 500 to Max 2500 words.

This is from my personal experience, when I say something less than 500 words seems to be lacking bite and a blog with more than 2500 words may seem too Long to read.

In both the cases the readers loose Interest. So please keep in mind to play between these lines.

Images and Infographics are also very useful to present the idea that you want to convey to your readers.

These may seem to be lots of work, but trust me there are tools to simplify most of these things.

Let’s move on to the next step

STEP 9: Promote your Blog

Promoting your blog is of foremost importance. If you fail to promote or not willing to promote your blog No one will find your Blog even exists.

So simply put, the higher the DA of your Blog, greater the chance your Blog pages showing up on the first page of Google search.

Online Forums

Join online forums of the Niche similar to your blog. Once you have joined You can post helpful articles to that forum and also answer other’s questions.
